Goharshad Mosque – Mashhad

This area is located 84 km. south west of Mashad. At a distance of about 3 km. a waterfall exists which is 23 m. in height, a place worth seeing.

When Goharshad, the spouse of Shahrokh Mirza, was busy building the Goharshad Mosque in Mashad, her female slave "Parizad" constructed a school beside this mosque. This school was repaired in the year 1091 by Najaf Qoli Khan Beglarbeigi Qandehar.
