Kermanshah Plains – Kermanshah

In between the mountains of Kermanshah there are narrow and wide plains formed by the accumulation of alluvium materials. The most important of them are: The plain among the Alvand heights and the Bid Sorkh Sahneh Mountains that is about 55 km. in width and its southern areas are open and leveled. This fertile plain specially in spring and summer is very attractive. The plain among Sahneh and Kermanshah begins from heights at the base of Bid Sorkh and terminates in the Na'lshekan heights. In the north of which are located the Poraw and Shahoo heights. In this fertile plain abundant water is present. The Mahidasht plain is about 25 km. in width and from the two sides is open completely. This plain with its abundant water and fertile soil forms the main farming areas of Kermanshah.
