Peer-e-Palandooz Mausoleum – Mashhad

This tomb is located in northeast section of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (AS) aggregate in the city of Mashad. It consists of a square building with a dome, and brick made portico and halls. The exterior view of the building, with pointed arches and tetrangular frames and tile works are evidences of fine and interesting. The surface of the onion shaped dome is covered by simple turquoise colored tile works and intricate patterns of brick work. This mausoleum belongs to the Safavid era and was built in 985 AH. Mohammad Aref Abbasi, known as Palandooz who was a Gnostic of Zahbieh Dynasty.
