Overview
Atashgah is a village, which lies deep in the Alborz mountain range north of Karaj. It needs 20 km of drive in a very beautiful road. The village is very old, and has a lot of ancient structures. One of the most interesting things is Atashgah itself. It means the Zoroastrian fire temple. It belongs to pre-Islamic era, possibly during Sassanid Empire.
